We will begin exploring Cinema 4D’s Deformers. The class tutorials will take us through the basics of using Deformers to transform a basic object (Cube). We will explore the following tools: Bend, Twist, Bulge, Shear, Taper, Bone, FFD, Formula, Wind, Explosion, Explosion FX, Melt, Shatter, Wrap, Polygon Reduction, Spherify, Spline Rail and Spline Deformer. All of these deformers have a variety of attributes that can be changed in the attributes manager. The following images show how to access of the Deformer menu from both the object menu in the main menu bar and the Deformer menu from the main icon menu bar. Practice using each Deformer if you are going to be gone from class during any of the tutorials this week. One thing to note, unlike NURBS and Array Objects, Deformers need to be placed as a child of the object or objects they are going to transform.
